    Dogs are not permitted on the beach or in our parks on the Island. Please be a responsible dog owner.

    Golf Carts not converted to a LSV are not permitted on City Streets.

    Private docks at personal residences cannot be rented or leased to others.
    Lawns and yards must be maintained and mowed as needed. Grass should not exceed 12 inches in height.
    No more than 3 boats can be moored/tied up at a private residence dock on a regular basis.
    All swimming pools must be fenced or screened to prevent small children from accessing them.
    Any motor vehicle, whether operative or not, kept or parked on a regular basis in the front yard of a residence on other than pavement or in a driveway is not allowed.
    No commercial or private signs can be placed in the city right of way that exists on all roads. This includes trees and utility poles. The size of the right of way varies by road and section of road.
    All residences zoned R1 or R2 cannot be rented for less than 6 months per lease. An occupational license is required if you own, operate or manage two or more rental properties.
    Garage/yard sales must be held in daylight hours and no more than 4 sales are allowed each year at the same location.
    All fences require a building permit to be erected and shall not exceed 6 feet in height.
    Discarded appliances put out for pickup must have the doors removed so they're not a hazard for children.
